It's pretty good. I have nothing more to say about it except I'm glad they didn't force a romantic relationship.
Trailer was hilarious. I hope they don't develop romantic feelings. That would be cliche.
A rom-com with no rom, very little com, and every character is mildly annoying.
[tv+] A basic comedy about friendship and the difficult balance between maturity and holding on to a certain youthful feeling that doesn't quite work in the humorous section. Seth Rogen playing Seth Rogen and Rose Burns reprising her role as the dissatisfied wife don't help either. The relationship is singular and different, but the development is generally bland due to a script that always pushes the characters by virtue of what it needs, which establishes a dynamic that is not really organic.
Tried it, binned it, dull with annoying characters and definitely not funny.
Stuck with it for 30+ minutes and gave up.. got too annoying to be bothered with it.
* _Platonic_ is enjoyable and easy to watch. It’s not perfect or funny but it’s definitely an interesting relationship dynamic. It’s refreshing to see a male and female friendship and I really hope they stay just friends because that would make this show much more interesting than the average "will they, won't they" plot - drunken hookup, confessing love for each other. I wish there were more platonic male/female friendships on TV, this needs to be normalized.
* The husband is too good to be true.
* Rogen and Byrne have great chemistry together.
* I can’t stand Seth’s outfits.
laugh out loud funny and the chemistry is unbeatable. love it
