First season : The story.. although a bit slow at the beginning is absolutely amazing, you can feel the plot getting thicker with each episode, but the ending.. that is on a whole other level, truly worth the watch till the last episode trust me on this.
Amazing show loved everything about it, brilliant cast Mickey haller is absolutely 🔥
1st season= good, 2nd season = great, 3rd = amazing, 4th season = probably final but it will be good to say a great goodbye to this amazing show. By the way, I hate the Lincolns, ugliest cars ever.
Great show. Really enjoyed it 😊
The perfect palette cleanser for when you've just finished 'Suits'.
I'm glad it's been renewed for a second season.
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo playes really good. A pity he'se the only one in the whole series.
Predictable and cliched, you can tell the major plotlines basically from the get-go. As for the characters, I can't put a finger on what, specifically, makes me feel that way, but all of them feel like shallow caricatures. The show also rushes off to introduce a whole bunch of characters too quickly and fails to give the viewers any reason to feel any sort of emotional attachment to them, so they end up being pointless background noise.
I, personally, also find the lead actor to have zero charisma. He's....as bland like white bread. Obviously, that's just my taste and all, but I do not think he's the right choice for this show at all.
Apart from being cliche as hell, the whole show was very off putting, and had a weird vibe to it. Like a man wrote this fantasy about being a badass lawyer, and everything in the show felt like it was there to stroke his ego.
Also,
the end of season 2 was so ridiculous I have to mention it. He won the case despite the murder weapon and the blood on the gloves, just by redirecting the attention to another suspect. Not to mention it's so repetitive, because that's exactly how season 1 also ended.
[Netflix] It has one of the dullest characters in current series production, a flat, boring Michael Heller who makes us sympathize more with the prosecutors. And, being the adaptation of Michael Connelly's second novel of the series, it deprives us of the opportunity to see the crossover with detective Harry Bosch. The show maintains interest effortlessly but also without brilliance, and its ten hours end up being less interesting than the two hours of the 2011 film.
Facts about me:
I'm watching this because of what I call the "hype machine." I'm watching this because I've seen every episode of "Boston Legal," "Boston Public," and was wholly underwhelmed by "Big Little Lies," "Nine Perfect Strangers," and "Mr. Mercedes." I'm not going to lay "The Crazy Ones" at his feet, RIP Robin. I'm watching this because I've got too much time on my hands. I've watched every episode at 2x the speed. That's the context.
I have not felt compelled to slow it down. Is it doing anything new? No. Is it pushing the boundaries of shows like it in any way? Not in the dialogue. Not in the characters. Not in the complexity of the plot. For some reason the temperament of "The Finder" crossed with "Terriers" is coming to mind, with faint aspirations to be like "Bosch" under the impression that show was doing anything special.
I'm not moved to comment on too many shows for as many as I watch. Most are pretty basic to downright annoying or cheap. I'm touched by this because of what I've learned about recent Netflix cancellations and hearing they're about to pour a lot of money into continuing this. Is Netflix now thirsty for "safe" and "accessible" snores like these? Who needs characters and creativity when you can change the tint of the addicted lead and his band of off-beat support staff? Messy past relationships creeping back in? We got you! Very powerful men who give no fucks violently trying to get their way? Is there any other way to create tension!?
I literally had to scroll down to confirm that I didn't even know the main character's name. We've got to do better, people. I've made the mistake of listening too close to the dialogue in spurts as I write this, and it's just embarrassing sometimes when you think of how robust the history of TV is, let alone the doctor-cop-lawyer landscape. If you're going to dare to tread on packed Earth, swing much bigger.
For those "wowed" by the last two episodes, watch more TV.
