Very good series of someone who was innocently accused of murdering a woman. The whole show is intense but totally worth it watching.

Outstanding series with a nice twist at the end... it wasn't who I thought it was.

It felt a little like "Your Honor" in it's style - another terrific show.

David E. Kelly still knows how to make great TV...

10/10

Absolutely amazed by how such a trite plot can be still lifted up to such levels of quality. Gyllenhaal's performance is a 10/10 holding up the entire season but Negga's a showstopper every single time she gets the spotlight.

Story-wise, Kelley has the credits to be trusted the script will deliver and this is no exception. Masterful navigating through the twist and turns, deceiving us around the hints and red herrings.

Apple keeps on head to head with HBO on who's taking lead on top premium content player.

At first, I thought "ugh, another affair gone bad, so cliche". And if it had been, a 4 at best.

But this is brilliant. I don't want to give it away since the final twist just seems so obvious after you know, but yes, BRILLIANT.

There by the grace of God goes anyone, especially given how twisted the victim was.

10/10.

I love Jake Gyllenhaal.... but then my personal preference is that we would all hate the prosecutor played by Sarsgaraad. You get the feeling early on, something is very, very wrong. You also think no way is this whole thing as easy as he did it and not a twist or turd to think on.

The further we get the more sure it becomes. Only one guy hell bent on a guilty answer and helping it along that way... but he treated everyone that wasn't in a sub?..

Movie is a twist hate this what's 4

Solid 9/10. It's been a very long time since I've binged 5 episodes in one day. This show was absolutely hypnotic.

This would have been a rare 10/10 from me, but the finale fell flat. I can't elaborate without getting into spoilers, but it's still worth watching.

Interesting to see there's a Season 2 already planned. I thought this was a miniseries, but we'll see where it goes from here.

Presumed Innocent is a gripping legal thriller which deals intricately in themes of murder, betrayal and moral ambiguity. The story follows Rusty Sabich, a chief deputy prosecutor in the fictional Kindle County, who finds himself accused of murdering his extramarital lover and co worker, Carolyn Polhemus.

The narrative unfolds from Rusty's first-person perspective, revealing his internal struggles and the complexities of his relationships, particularly with his wife, Barbara, and his son, Nat. David E. Kelley masterfully constructs a suspenseful atmosphere filled with unexpected twists, challenging viewers to question Rusty's reliability as a narrator. The novel's exploration of human emotions and ethical dilemmas makes it a compelling watch, leaving a lasting impact long after the finale.

Overall, with a slow paced and engrossing screenplay, fantastic supporting characters the show definitely is one of the best from Apple TV. Jake Gyllenhaal steals the show with his strong performance supported efficiently by Ruth Negga, Bill Camp and Peter Sarsgaard. Looking forward to Season 2 as it's already green lit.

there's a lot to like in this but i especially love fagbenle’s weird accent and mannerisms. he's like cartoon-level villain, it's the best.

also, i'm not surprised it's greenlit for a second season - the novel has a sequel and spinoffs with tommy molto. i'm down for additional seasons whether they focus on molto or sabich!

An acting tour de force! The really solid finale bumped my series rating up a couple points. The whole thing was tense, well filmed, very well acted, nuanced, and had a lot of depth. There are a few plot holes and things you can nitpick, but overall a great crime thriller!
