So much fun to watch. Love it!

An England that never was appears to be in vogue at the moment ! Very very silly but great fun !

This is obviously not a show of great technical brilliance with a gripping storyline. It's just something that one watches when they are feeling down. It's cosy, comforting and relaxing. The show does what it is good at doing, and that is letting you pass time.

Having watched the first two seasons now, this is definitely _Father Brown_'s overly silly, poor relation with far too many cartoonish characters - especially in the supporting ensemble of assorted nutty villagers and the other nuns at the convent. Some episodes are pretty enjoyable when this aspect is minimised but the ratio of irritating / weak episodes is overly high. Maybe season three will finally get the balance right...
