Monkey Dust

Monkey Dust is a British satirical cartoon, notorious for its dark humour and handling of taboo topics such as bestiality, murder, suicide and paedophilia. There were three series broadcast on BBC Three between 2003 and 2005. Following co-creator Harry Thompson's death, no further series were made.
Monkey Dust had the potential to be a darkly funny, absurd playground and I actually liked the tone and the bleak world it set up. But the writing completely lets it down. Sketches rely far too heavily on shock value, sex jokes, and lazy repetition, without any real comedic follow through. There's no wit, no escalation just the same tired setups over and over. Just empty sketches without the comedy chops to back them up
