It took me a long time to finally get my hand on a copy of that show. Like many I wanted to watch this because I am a fan of Cate Blanchett. Three episodes in and not a second of her. It's a bit of a scam having her so prominently featured if she's not a major player. Imdb even describes this show as
>The Story About Bianca, a girl living a tough life.
Bianca being the character Blanchett is playing here. As for the rest of the show it could have been much more interesting considering the times and circumstances it is based around. Instead, more often than not, this is all about love, romance and sex. And all very cheesy. It's not that the characters are very likeable either. Especially that Italian. So, I can't even bring myself to watch the rest to get to the point where Cate actually makes her appearance. The story is just not interesting enough for me.
Yes, TV in the 90s was very much different from today and so were the shows. But I doubt that this would have attracted me than.
