I will love WWE till the day I die..I miss the attitude era and Every single wrestler we have lost including Chris Benoit has hurt my heart. The controversies were sad to hear about but how can I judge this great man?? How can I judge this man who has been a huge part of bringing a smile to my face for decades? ..Arnold Schwarzenegger had an affair with his maid like a jackass but I'm supposed to judge this great man?? Like Terminator don't count no more? Predator don't count? GTFO here..I love WWE

As I am not American, I lost sight of wrestling right after Hogan fought that last match with Andre the Giant. They simply stopped broadcasting it here.

I never knew about the competitive war with the other company and about the Mr. McMahon character.

I found this series intriguing and a rollercoaster of feelings, sometimes for my old heros and sometimes for the events as they played out.

You can totally see and even learn what it takes to create a successful business, and in the same time you get to see lots of reasons why you shouldn’t.

Thrilling and engaging documentary. Nicely plotted the storyline from then to now, laser-focused on Vince. Although, a bit miffed that they didn't give the Invasion storyline a spotlight, not even a mention.

For those well versed on wrestling and Vince, there’s little revelatory here, but what this does is present in stark detail the absurdity, delusion, and depravity of that man, often by contrasting the truth with his lies, and the codependency of those around him. Burning in hell will be too merciful for him.

It was ok..Thought it would of went more in depth of who Vince really is..There is so much more we could of known..But when Vince is talking he seems so laid back but shy too also, it's weird..Just the way he says curtain things..But it could of been better I feel..Its OK for what it is and worth the watch tho..

Good doc and really well produced as you’d expect for Netflix but it feels like more of a WWF/WWE history rundown than a Vince doc. The last 2 eps are by far the most compelling and I think Shane especially is really interesting. Seen some reviews say the interviewers didn’t push back on Vince enough – I don’t think it was needed (not Netflix’s doc style anyway). Anyone with half a brain sees him for what he is from his responses. The Owen & Benoit parts especially help show just how cold he still is.

But like, Vince’s childhood shaped him and we hear next to nothing about it. The utterly mental stuff from the Playboy interview is just grazed over. The boatload of dead wrestlers are afforded about 3 mins of chat.

Any time Bret speaks is gold. Meltzer, good. Hulk Hogan’s insistence to tell lies is hilarious. He is of course an idiot. Bruce Pritchard is a scumbag – insane he is still second in command there. None of Cena, Austin, Rock added anything of value, as expected.

Definitely worth watching if you’re unaware of what a piece of shit the bloke is—some of the stuff here will blow your mind—but feels like there’s only a speedrun of the actual important stuff and it only really scratches the surface.

7.5

It's decent enough, good primer on WWE's major history moments and Vince's role in it - I do wish they went a little harder on just how much of a scumbag he is, though. Last episode did a pretty decent job on it.

Most surprising thing for me was how bad it made me feel for Shane McMahon, that guy just wanted to have a proper father, but Vince's childhood was too screwed up (seriously, they just danced over the incest stuff) to give Shane that love.

Great documentary, but wwe also has many other documentaries. Nice to see the evolution of wwe over the year and a nice opener to the arrival of Monday night raw to Netflix. To bad it did not focus more on the current scandal, and feels empty by not focusing on the women’s evolution era lead by Steph that has been so relevant in the last decade

Not much new insight but it was good to hear from the man himself on a couple of controversies.

Like with 'Who Killed WCW?' did we learn anything new? Not really. Same old people saying the same old shit. I still found pleasure in old footage and that, but it's not like Vince opened up.

Bruce has a point at the end, but then paying for someones cancer treatment doesn't offset rape etc, so does it matter what good he's done?
