I'm going to preface this by saying I am absolutely in love with 90% of Key's visual novel adaptations. Charlotte is one of the most interesting Anime's I've seen in a while. My biggest complaint is that character development happens at a rapid pace to focus on the story acceleration (which has proven common among Key Animes). The end result is that a character can go from 0-100 over the course of an episode or from sociopath to Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Charlotte has a similar setting to My Hero Academia, but the feel of the Anime couldn't be more different. There is so much more character in this Anime which makes it blur the line between a slice of life and an action Anime. This story got so much deeper and stronger as it progressed while My Hero Academia just touts the same theme over and over again, only keeping viewers around for the action.

Overall, I'd greatly recommend this Anime. It was short and could've been much more, but it was still very strong in its own right.

I also really enjoyed Charlotte! The character development was great, and I found myself getting attached to each of the main characters. I thought the concept of the story, with a small percentage of children gaining superpowers upon reaching puberty, was really creative and unique. I loved how each character's ability played a role in the plot, and it was interesting to see how they used their powers for the greater good. The animation was top-notch, and the cinematography really added to the overall atmosphere of the show. I would definitely recommend giving Charlotte a watch!

Charlotte started as just a funny show, however it got deeper and deeper with every episode. Totally recommended, action, mystery, comedy and romance. If you liked Heroes (American TV Show) you will like this one. One of the best of the season.

Initially this Anime has a lot of funny scenes to offer but as the Story progresses, we got to see the serious side of the story. The last two episodes were the Best. One of the best thing is the animation; I will definitely recommend this one to everyone who like to watch Drama-Fantasy based anime.

I was about to leave it cause i thought itll be just a group finding a random guy with powers every episode but turn out to be very interesting.

_This is my customary cut-and-paste of an anime first-season review to the series page, because a sequel seems unlikely to happen._

I'm quite happy to round this one up. Early on, my ratings were low-balled because of, uh… Actually, I don't remember why. That's the problem with taking three years to watch a 13-episode anime, I guess.

About halfway through, my ratings really spiked, though. If you can call going from mostly 6's and 7's to mostly 8's and 9's a "spike"… But the show definitely got my attention at that halfway point, and there's no excuse for taking so long to finish except—just maybe—that I didn't want to run out of beautiful P.A. Works art to watch, so I slowed _way_ down. (I've definitely done that before with shows I like, putting off finishing them for months or even, literally, years, to make them last longer. I'm a weird one.)

This is one of a handful of anime that I think would be worth rewatching to see how my opinion of it might have changed.

Charlotte was probably the first Key anime that didn't make me cry like a baby. It's still pretty great though.

Couldn't feel any less visual novel-y. They skipped quite a bunch of character work to get through more story and also focusing a little too much on not so interesting characters.
