High intensity cop show that I wasn't expecting, good story with characters that you could like, and I always fine Shemar Moore to be a likeable guy but he fits the role well as a serious leader of the SWAT team in LA put in a tough spot. For the first episode its off to an action packed start, lets hope they keep this going.

Not your typical cop drama, and the right amount of action to enjoy the thrill ride.

After finishing season 7 I feel more disappointed to see there is a planned season 8. I felt like season 7 was quite poor and perhaps they should have quit after 6 when they lost the most of 20 squad's main characters.

Managed to get somehow to S08 but if you like this type of series I really recommend to stop at S05 (including) that's if you can stand all those cheesy scenes (I tend to skip them). 7 would be for the first 5 seasons as grading, with all seasons it would not go higher than 5.5 in my opinion.

Seasons 1-6 are great. I don't usually like cop shows but this one is pretty good because they go where they are really needed. Yes there are social justice elements but I like that it's handled in a real way with all the LAPD and city politics and Hondo struggling with his identity as a Black man and a cop.
