I liked it even more knowing that Fred Armisen drives my ol'lady insane
To say it’s slow-paced and non-event would not be an understatement. That said, completely enjoyably harmless, mindless watching. I wouldn’t say I’m disappointed that there isn’t a second season, but it would’ve been nice to have had some answers about the afterlife.
All in all, not the worst way to kill some time during lockdown.
I've been challenging myself to watch every series I come across, regardless of ratings or reviews — and that’s how I ended up watching Forever. Honestly, I’m not sure it was the best idea. I finished the series with more questions than answers.
The characters seem to live normally — they eat, sleep, interact with everything — but in some moments, that logic just doesn’t hold. Where does the food come from? Who is the man with the briefcase? Maybe we’d get those answers if the show hadn’t been canceled… but now, we’ll never know.
In the end, Forever wasn’t really my thing. Still, I’m sure there’s a powerful message hidden in there — maybe something about how people settle into monotonous routines out of fear of taking risks? Or maybe I’m just overthinking it… I really don’t know.
What I do know is that I’m not used to slow-paced shows — and this one really takes its time. Even though it’s only 8 episodes, it moves very slowly. So, if you’re like me and prefer faster storytelling, you might need a bit of patience. My advice: give it at least three episodes before deciding to quit. The first two… are rough.
This show is a stinker... uninteresting couple that bore you to death before 10 minutes are up. He was the most annoying person on Last Man on Earth and he's just as dull in this show. She's just..... ugh.
binged it in two days, phenomenal series. Frustrating that I can't tell others anything about it as literally everything i'd say outside of it having superb acting is big spoiler
Really wanted to enjoy it as I like both main actors but it was so pointless. Tries to have meaning but there is none. Not a lot of episode so I pushed through thinking it will go somewhere, nope.
SO BORING. Maybe it gets better? But it's only eight episodes long! Such a short show doesn't have time to get better, it needs to start strong! If you have the patience for bland, atmospheric "comedies" in which the humor is next to nonexistent, then you might like this. But personally I prefer my comedies to be consistently, _actually_ funny...
