Chilling psychological horror thriller. Superb acting and a realistic plot, that could happen to anyone of us. Two of the most evil and calm antagonists you will ever likely meet. Next time someone comes knocking on your door, be prepared!
10/10.

There’s no movie like this. There’s no movie that’s more horrifying and difficult to watch, even that every killing actually happens off screen. And it wouldn’t work otherwise.

The director wanted to provoke you thinking about violence and how it is presented in movies.

You don’t realise it while watching but after the viewing you may realise that bad guys are the viewer.

Even more chilling in a way of life and art crossing boundaries, is the fact that out of four main actors three are dead now, with exception of actor who played the main bad guy.

Great movie, the actors are good, you will hate those two young men (I personally hated the "fat" one) with so much heart, and feel as confused as this poor family. Funny Game might not be movie to watch with your family on Christmas but it is worth watching at least once.

The remote control scene makes me thing this is all fiction playing in the head of the skinny psycho.

Funny Games is not just disturbing, but it points its finger directly at the viewer while screaming, "Schadenfreude!" "Sadist!" "Degenerate!" The brilliance of the film lies in the powerful way it portays its message - a message that is poignant and sharp.

I think I first heard about this movie when I would google Funnygames as a kid to play flashgames, which was the style at the time.

Interesting movie, great acting, some uncomfortable scenes but not as disturbing as I was afraid of. Very tense at times!

SMALL SPOILERS BELOW:

Unexpected fourth wall breaking and using the remote at the end was wild??? Really weird to have that scene in this movie but I thought it was weird in a good way.

I was scared to see this film for so long that I wish it scared me more.

The first half had good directing and excellent storytelling, at least the second half had good directing.

Solid home invasion flick with characters you'll absolutely dread and hate right from the get go. The whole "remote control" aspects has bothered me ever since seeing this for the first time.

Crude and gratuitous exposure of violence by two mechanical oranges.
