Samara Weaving being covered in blood should be a new horror sub-genre
That was awesomely disgusting! As I get older I seem to have less tolerance for gore, but this was well done. This was like The Damned meets Walking Dead (whichever season was the good one) but without dialogue.
Given the ending, for the love of god make a part 2 where the “baddies” wipe out humanity.
In the first 15+ mins I thought this was going to a disaster, because they movie is sort of similar to Boarder Line and Ready or not. Well I was wrong this was executed well. Yes it is a MUST WATCH.
Concept-forward horror is always appreciated, and Azrael does not disappoint. To be reductive and compare this to things that came to mind while watching, it's like a The Last of Us Part 2 cutscene with shades of Dog Soldiers and zero dialogue; so 100% my shit. Samara goes through the absolute ringer and still looks cool as fuck covered in blood and weilding whatever she can find. The zero dialogue concept almost gets the better of the narrative when lots of the context is left unexplained, but the abstract nature is also refreshing in the modern landscape of overly expositioned settings. Short, slick and bloody romp that's perfect for the spooky season.
Like sign language: silent but has a lot to say.
I'm a world of nonverbal horror (Silent Night, Monster, Out of Darkness...) Azreal speaks volumes.
Make a sequel, then we can talk
Super fun. Bloody good time that does not slow down, with the G.O.A.T. (heh) Samara Weaving.
Incredibly effective at communicating the story without any dialogue.
Every single time I see Samara Weaving in a movie I think she should be such a bigger star than she is.
Amazing practical effects.
The burned monster-zombie-people look so good.
Good watch, some tense moments. Enjoyed it
Visually brilliant, the story didn't really grip me.
