Went into this bind. It's amazing. Beautifully chaotic. You're taken on a ride that will have you continuously asking yourself "where is this going?" Very well executed.

Do not see the trailer, do not read anything, go blindfolded and press play.
One of the best thriller/horror/mystery do not care the genre if it is correct that you will see for this year and an instant classic. An artistic movie not a pretentious one that you do not understand, and it is your fault for that, a superb direction with a superb story uniquely presented without confusing and only for 90 minutes without dragging anything out. It has some moments for hard stomachs.

Let's now talk about Fitzgerald. This was one of the best performances for this year, a definetelly Oscar worthy but will not even get close as it is not academy material but the dozen Kidman movies that are out will be one. Fitzgerald gave her life performance in a fantastic mix from the director and the fantastic soundtrack. The last 10 minutes of one shot one camera cinematography was an absolute masterpiece.

This movie was fantastically creative and completely different than any other. It kept me wondering what was going to happen next. Very refreshing in a gruesome way!

Strange Darling is a bigger surprise than Oddity this year, and that's really saying something. I had not even heard of this movie until a few weeks ago, and I am so glad I decided to give this tension-filled thriller a chance. From the very beginning, the movie states that was filmed entirely on 35mm, demanding to be seen on the big screen. And it instantly earns that. I don't want to say too much because so much of this movie deserves to be seen fully blind. However, I need to say it has some incredibly creative stylistic choices, both in structure and in cinematography. I just have to applaud the audacity. There is some gorgeous cinematography and a strong score as well. It kept me on the edge of my seat. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention the excellent acting of Kyle Gallner and the star turn of Willa Fitzgerald who builds on her incredible role in The Fall of the House of Usher to put together an absolutely captivating performance. Watch this on the biggest screen possible and support this original and creative movie!

You know those rollercoasters where they usually start off slow then going crazy… that’s this film. I’d go as far as to say this is a work of art with the profundity of something like La Haine

Apparently the studio wanted the story to be presented linearly. Who could ever think that ? There's so much dynamism, impact and obviously twist that would be lost... Is the fact that the chapters still numbered with their order a rest of that ? Did they think people would be to stupid to reconnect it correctly otherwise ?

The way it's presented makes you so much more interested in the characters and wanting to know what actually happened and when/how the change occurred. It's perfect.

Obviously an incredible performance from Willa Fitzgerald. Not saying the rest of the cast is not good, but she's really carrying it.

Each chapter offer different perspectives on the story, and different forms of entertainment. Some cool actions scenes, mainly the trill and suspense, but also lots of funny scenes (the old couple's breakfast... o m g!).

The ending was a bit long maybe.

Also, in the end, when she says she
sees demons
, and then seems to see something, I kinda expected her to just
sees herself as a demon and kill herself
, but though that would have been a more impactful ending, it would have diminished the character as basically just
crazy
. But since it's not used this way, I wonder a bit at the relevance of this statement.
