I enjoyed this Physco thriller. John Malkovich was excellent as the Artist 🎨. Despite what other's have said I thought the Double Twist ending was very clever. Well worth a watch. :thumbsup_tone1:

Very similar to "Silence of the Lambs"
A not so good copycat of "Silence of the lambs",
good acting by the protagonists though.

this came across pretty early on to me as a lightly parodying homage to vintage crime thrillers which made it a lot more entertaining. i think if i tried taking it seriously at any point i would've been disappointed

'Mindcage' is a bad one! I probably didn't dislike it as much as I should've (the ending almost made that true, granted), likely due to the actors involved, but yeah... it's poor. I do feel like there is a good idea in there, the winged creations are also pretty neat; just lamely utilised.

Another positive, the only other one I have, is Melissa Roxburgh, whose performance is quite solid all the way through. I wasn't aware of Roxburgh a matter of hours ago, though her co-stars I am more than familiar with: Martin Lawrence, John Malkovich and Robert Knepper.

All three named are great in other things, in this not so much. The standout is Malkovich, albeit in a role that feels rather typical. Lawrence plays it totally straight and, although it is good to see a different acting style from him, doesn't feel right; a miscast. Knepper is OK in a bit part.

You know what?, the premise of the movie was actually good. However, the surreal plot was already too fanciful. It killed all the development the movie created in just the last ten minutes. I liked the mystery at the beginning but halfway through the movie it became too long for me and I just wanted it to end to find out who the murderer was, although in the end the plot turned out to be too predictable and even boring.

The concept is not bad, but everything else is

Shitty directing, shitty acting, shitty casting, shitty photography... Only thing that was done well in the movie is the makeup and props, everything else is bottom of the barrel quality.

A wasted opportunity in my opnion, at the FINAL SCENE the movie was so lazy that a shot was left in the movie where the camera shakes so much i got a bit nauseous, the shot was clearly meant to be a perfectly still one with no camera movement
