So good to see more Japanese movies in cinemas in Europe. Finally a reason to go again. By coincidence I went to a 4DX screening and boy, it was a lot of fun. Maybe too stretched in the beginning, as I think they tried to make it also for those who don't know the anime, but once it gets going, it is a rollercoaster ride (and in a 4DX theater, it was one, literally :) ). Anya just steals the show in every scene she is in. There are a few things that could have been developed more, but this is not James Bond, so I did not expect that anyway.

A great movie with a delightful story to follow, subtly developing its characters. It stands out with its humorous scenes led by Anya, who truly shines while doing what she does best. All of this is complemented by excellent animation, filled with fluidity and visually stunning moments.

It's everything I want from _Spy x Family_ (except that they don't progress the main plot, because of course they can't). The spy aspect is genuinely thrilling, the family aspect is charming, and it's all-around fun.

My only issue is that this is almost completely self-contained; because it's not a part of the main show, the status quo doesn't change at all from how things were at the beginning of the movie. But at this point, I'm used to that being the case with anime movies based on shows, so I'm not going to let it get in the way of my enjoyment.

Personally it felt a bit stretched on unnecessary things..
wish they’d elaborate more on the evil schemes (what were they going to do with microfilm??? WHAT HAPPENED TO YURI?????) rather than focusing on anya meeting poop god 😶‍🌫
I think it’ll be more fun if they based it on the manga and pick up where the anime left off. This felt really flat and OOC at some parts.

the fighting scenes were very very good tho! Truly the highlight of the movie and As expected of loid and yor. Overall the animation was well made, if we can ignore the plotholes hahaha. Giving this a 7/10

A fun, cute, and wholesome movie that plays to the series' strengths, especially after the series sort of had a flat second half to the prior season. It realizes that the main draw of the show isn't the dramatic irony of each family member not knowing the secrets of each other, but rather their own way of fighting for their family. The humor is pretty solid, especially in the first half, though a slightly crude gag overstays its welcome in the second half. I was surprised by the animation quality, though it was mostly reserved for the ending but looked excellent. I'm not huge into the action in this series, so when it devolves into that near the end, I kind of zoned out a bit. However, the animation and hitting all the emotional beats makes up for it. Overall, I think if you enjoy this show and this misfit family's hijinks, this movie is definitely worth a watch and not the typical superfluous anime movie, even if it doesn't exactly move the overarching plot anywhere.

It felt more like a stretched out episode than a full movie. Though the antics are nice, they were more in sync with what you'd ecpect out of the anime rather than as part of a full movie. Probably could have been as long as 3 episodes and it would have been a stronger play.
