Good entertaining movie with a predictable plot twist. Maintained a good level of suspense and dread through the first two thirds.

First 2/3 of the movie was a pretty solid thriller movie. The last third just felt off and kind of ruined the built up suspense of the beginning. The theatre scene specifically was handled very oddly. Ash ruining his cover so quickly and taking such drastic steps felt unprofessional and unprompted. I would have expected a more sophisticated approach from someone in that field. Maybe he could have sent his own protection detail, it doesn't matter. I just didn't like he stepped in himself so quickly. It felt like they at that point in the movie they wanted to force the plot twist ASAP.

I liked the actors: Riz, Lily, and Sam had great performances. I did find it a bit odd the Relay service was used for clearly criminal operations without any intervention.

Overall, this movie presented a compelling storyline that kind of fell apart near the end. I think thriller movies need to have fulfilling endings and this did not deliver.

Really enjoyed this one, but having a background in surveillance I know I have a bias for movies that do surveillance/counter surveillance with more accuracy than sticking a 500mm lens out a car window from directly across the street.

Solid all around movie, great tone and atmosphere, performances and writing.

Granted I thought it could have gone somewhere a bit more interesting in the third act, but was still a solid little movie for 2025

"Relay" follows a "fixer" who brokers extreme deals between corrupt corporations and the individuals who threaten to expose them. When he receives a desperate message from a potential client fighting to stay alive, we see just how far he is willing to go to maintain a fragile peace between both sides. Classified as a paranoid thriller, the film thrives on precise instructions and the audience’s sharp attention to detail, planting subtle clues about how the fixer negotiates his dangerous bargains. The cinematography deliberately misdirects, leaving viewers constantly questioning what deserves their focus in each frame. Meanwhile, the fixer's sparse dialogue makes his performance all the more compelling, adding to the tension of the story. For anyone who enjoys smart, suspenseful narratives and a well-earned plot twist, Relay is definitely worth a watch.
