I had forgotten how much I used to enjoy **Monk** and how much I have missed it! This reignited my love for the show and the brilliance of the character. I had no idea they were making a final send off.
What a wonderful end - and one with a message. Monk was hurting, clearly. Talk to someone, never bottle things up, no matter how bad things seem. It's OK to not be OK.
The final scenes were touching and heart warming - Monk's still got work to do :)
thank you crew of Mr.Monk
I recently had the opportunity to watch “Mr. Monk’s Last Case,” the final installment in the beloved Monk series, and I must say that it was a fitting end to such a beloved and memorable show.
The film follows the iconic detective Adrian Monk, played by Tony Shalhoub, as he takes on one last case before retiring from the police force. Monk, who suffers from a variety of obsessive-compulsive behaviors, is his usual charming and neurotic self as he sets out to solve the murder of a wealthy businessman.
The film does an excellent job of balancing the lighthearted humor and quirky charm that the series is known for, while also delivering a compelling and emotionally resonant story. The case itself is engaging and well-crafted, with plenty of twists and turns to keep viewers guessing until the very end.
Shalhoub is, as always, fantastic in the lead role, bringing depth, nuance, and humor to the character of Monk. The supporting cast, including Traylor Howard as Monk's assistant Natalie Teeger and Jason Gray-Stanford as Lt. Disher, are also excellent, delivering strong performances and bringing a sense of warmth and familiarity to the proceedings.
One of the things that has always set Monk apart from other detective shows is its willingness to tackle serious and emotional topics, and 'Mr. Monk's Last Case' is no exception. The film explores themes of loss, grief, and the importance of human connection, and it does so with a great deal of sensitivity and grace.
Overall, I would highly recommend 'Mr. Monk's Last Case' to fans of the series and newcomers alike. It is a delightful and entertaining film that is sure to leave viewers feeling satisfied and appreciative of the journey that Monk and his friends have taken us on. Whether you are a longtime fan or are just discovering the series for the first time, 'Mr. Monk's Last Case' is a must-see.
If you're a serious Adrian "Monk" fan, do yourself a favor and watch this film.
If that would have been an episode in the tv show it would have been one of my favorite episodes. Good work from all the involved people!
Now let us just hope that wasn’t Mr. Monk‘s last case. It would make the world a little bit better if we would get more movies about Monk. Just make it a yearly movie event 😊
Great movie for fans of the show! Full of nostalgia and heart just like the original show. So glad for this next chapter and hope they keep going… I especially hope they make monk and psych cross-over movie as they teased.
While the movie almost reaches the point of being depressing. It is still as charming and funny as you’d expect. It really felt like Monk was back and that he never left.
I was hoping it would end with Monk adopting the dog who liked to clean up after itself.
nostalgia bait? maybe. does it feel like an ice cream after a great dinner? definitely. am I a fan of the colour grading? no. the person responsible should be fired. too hyper realistic. the 480p episodes looked better
It was esentially just a long Monk episode. Still, watching all main characters come back after that much time, was nice to see. I laughed a couple of times and choke a bit a couple more; just like in the ol' series. Decent 7, much better that most crap nowadays
i Do not care, its Mr. Monk
Nostalgic, and warmth for your soul. The scene were they all get wipe was spot-on.
I got to see my crush Howard.
The ending was very moving
