So this movie really doesn’t make a lot of sense, but I love it anyways. Maybe it’s the nostalgia from my childhood, but I enjoy this one every time I watch it. Despite the messy plot, the creatures and characters are a lot of fun.

Great cheesy 80s fun. Love to see the stars from TV shows odd the era all in a movie together.

Still holds up today.

Good solid flick with no real scares, but funny enough and great front man performance by William Katt. He is so likeable, it pulls the rest of the film along. The story is well executed.

Such a great classic with a perfect blend of comedy and 80s practical horror. Campy horror perfection.

This was the scariest film I'd seen as a kid. After Evil Dead. Rewatching it now, there's absolutely nothing scary about it but it was a lot of fun watching it again. The acting was surprisingly good.

"House" is a lot of fun and reminds me of "Evil Dead 2" in some ways. It's not nearly as gross as that, but it's just essentially one man battling evil forces.

The Vietnam scenes that actually form the basis of the hauntings are extremely corny. A lot of the suspense is built off noises in the house. The main character's (William Katt) isolation and the creepy, dead Aunt work pretty well. This is light Horror though, and it's more funny than scary. George Wendt is really entertaining as an annoying but big-hearted neighbor.

The story with the missing son and the divorced wife, it's all standard stuff. The effects work well enough and are very cartoony, which benefits the mood the movie sets up. The ending is abrupt and it feels a bit like the filmmakers wanted to just finish things up. Overall, though this is a good, goofy 90-minute time killer.

Really fun horror/comedy. Some of the creature designs are so wacky and cool. Wendt and Katt have a great chemistry and do a lot to make it as fun as it is.

Enjoyed this as a kid, but watching it now it’s just a meh!

I went in thinking this was going to be a horror movie but it is not sure what it is. A Haunted House? A Veteran PTSD fever dream? Twilight Zone episode? The practical effects were pretty good but cheesy at times. I can see how this was a classic, just not my style.
