Éléonore is driving west when her car breaks down in the middle of Brittany, France. She rents a bungalow there in a campground with a view of the lake, in which, it is said, lives a legendary beast. From mobile home to mobile home, she observes the present, summons the past and lets herself be invaded by fiction.
[Locarno FF '23] A funny proposal that mixes legends with literary tales, which unites fiction with documentary to build a film that moves comfortably in that fantasy field while reflecting on some of our society's obsessions. While describing a particular group of people who inhabit a camping area near Lake Guerlédan, in French Brittany, at the same time the everyday is wrapped in mythological stories to create a fable with an environmental message that infects the entire film with fantasy. It is a story that is progressively transformed to end up conveying a sense of unreality.
