Absolute fever dream of a movie from start to finish. Very absurdist humor that always stays fresh.
Had me constantly saying “what the fuck” under my breath. A very well executed comedy at the end of the day.
While this had a slower start for me, it picked up momentum as it progressed.. The plot is loose here, it isn't a strong single plot story, rather it is about the journey Honey takes, all stemming from a phone call.
Well cast, Well Acted, and I enjoyed it.
As for the sex scenes... I will say it.. the bar scene was so much hotter than any scene with nudity.... I do very much enjoy that they pulled off lesbian sex scenes in this in a manner that didn't feel so fake, stupid, or just about seeing tits and ass...
Gender reversed neo noir / gumshoe tale with a healthy dose of pitch black humor.
Worth it for the bumper sticker scene alone, it should resonate with fans Plaza’s April Ludgate character and Cohen Brothers.
Great cast and chemistry, kept me guessing and WTFing but nothing to raise it more. It was enjoyable but forgettable. Decent movie night choice though.
Honey Don't! feels like an early draft of a great film. It has the right cast, fun characters, and an intriguing premise, but the story unfolds like an incomplete work-in-progress. It lacks momentum, suffers from loose continuity, and ends without an earned conclusion. Ethan seems to be floundering a bit without Joel.
>"I'm a private investigator, but on the first interview, I do advice for the lovelorn for free."
And:
>"The Pharisees were macaroni!"
Slight, but also kinda awesome? Very different tone from its predecessor—this lies somewhere between Drive-Away Dolls, Faster Pussycat, and Love Lies Bleeding. I think I'll enjoy it more on rewatch, now that I know what to expect.
That "conversation" at the bar ARE YOU KIDDING ME
Is Margaret Qualley the coolest person alive?
El Duderino retro verso. Fuck it, dude, whatever works!
Didn't like the ending but Aubrey really got steamy in this one
this started off fun, but then it just kinda ended without a lot of resolution to all the themes and plot points brought up in the film. at least chris evan’s was funny as hell
Hugely disappointed! The movie had all the ingredients great cast, some funny moments but came out dull.Has everything but a story.
