Don’t know why this movie is getting trolled or being said that it’s bad. The story may be outdated but the way they showcased the movie was really really insane. The Screenplay,Editing,Slo-Mo Shots, transitions aced in every aspect of the movie. A Must Watch Theatre Experience

Jigra is an ode to sisterhood with an ordinary script but a resonating screenplay. Alia Bhatt's performance in Jigra is nothing short of extraordinary. She effortlessly embodies the character's emotional depth and vulnerability, showcasing her versatility and range as an actress. Vedang Raina, in his debut, proves to be a promising talent, delivering a credible and heartfelt performance. Manoj Pahwa is admirable and the most likeable throughout. Vivek Gomber has played the antagonist with finesse. Some cheesy moments in the climax that's the only con. Vasan Bala's direction is commendable, bringing the story to life with style and finesse.

While the concept may not be entirely original, the execution and emotional resonance are spot on. The film's music is undoubtedly its biggest highlight, enhancing the narrative and adding depth to the characters. Jigra is a must-watch for those seeking a heartwarming and emotionally resonant cinematic experience.

Other than being trolled for PR stunts this movie is good enough.

Really good, something fresh from Bollywood. The music, cinematography, story, performances were all just great. The runtime could've been just a little less and the ending could've been more realistic, less dramatic
Alia Bhatt, a great performance from her, the way she emoted from her face again and again, it was surreal. The rest did their work just perfectly. I wanted them to confront that uncle at the end who let them there. Kudos Vasan Bala.

Great way to start the year with this beautiful movie! Yes, it has many flaws, but overall, it's a good movie with absolutely stunning cinematic shots. And those flashback scenes are absolutely beautiful. One thing I don't know why, but Vidang's crying scenes seemed like he was laughing 😂. Something about his face just felt off

It's a good storyline with the source of the problems reflecting actual parts of our lives and how one can be affected by the stature of society.

The rest is more about what one wishes would be doable by being extra imaginative with some Rambo/Mission Impossible like stunts.

This show can be an eye opener to those who trust others easily.

Also provides a nice touch with the accent of the locals which accurately represent the region despite the made up country name. I'd say it's a good watch.

Lot of missed opportunities. 6/10
It’s fair, Could’ve been better. Writing lacks depth.

Jigra had a great premise that really had the chance to shine but should have been explored better. Instead, it exposes just how narrow Bollywood's understanding of the world outside really is. Forget research-just slap something together, and the audience will buy it. John Woo and Wong Kar-wai had their kitchen duty moments, but this? I couldn't help but laugh.

Also, the phrase, Long live the revolution!" is tossed around so casually that it's more of a slippery slogan than a meaningful statement. Every time someone shouts it, they stumble, fall, or crash into chaos, turning the pursuit of justice into an accidental comedy of errors

Struggled a lot to get invested in the movie. I guess the entire brother-sister relationship was penned great on paper, with its impact but somehow they could not find a way to convert it on the screen with same passion — the incoherent storyline just did not work. I really wanted to get moved by the movie but I guess I could only now move out from my couch and try to forget this. :(

Vasan is one of my favourite directors but this is his weakest, by a margin.
