She Rides Shotgun

Newly released from prison and marked for death by unrelenting enemies, Nate must now protect his estranged 11-year-old daughter, Polly, at all costs. With scant resources and no one to trust, Nate and Polly forge a bond under fire as he shows her how to fight and survive—and she teaches him the true meaning of unconditional love.
This was such an excellent movie. It’s a great story about a ex-convict that gets mixed up with the wrong people and is trying to protect his daughter. There’s some very emotional performances. The acting was excellent from everyone involved. Taron Egerton was so good as the dad. He was believable and had the audience completely invested. Ana Sophia Heger turned in one of the best performances I’ve seen from a child actor. She was so damn good and I cared so much about her character. She literally steals the show. It’s a long movie but it’s so engaging and gripping from start to finish. It has some very intense moments. It’s extremely well shot throughout. This is something that will probably fly under the radar but really shouldn’t. It’ll take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. I was fully invested from the start and it never let up. I’m extremely satisfied with it and almost shed a tear by the end of it. It’s one of my favorite ending shots in a very long time. What a beautifully emotional way to end it. Go see this movie!
