After watching Atlantis: The Lost Empire recently I yearned for more Disney from this particular era, and so I went in full-on with Hercules.

This is top-tier Disney, it almost doesn't get better than this... characters are killing it, the story-telling is killing it, the jokes are killing it, the songs are killing it and the late 90s vibe is fucking killing it.

Very nostalgic for me, as I played hours and hours with PS1 game adaptation of this movie, but haven't actually seen it until today. And oh boy, I was missing out big time... (Meg, you goddamn hottie, you)

One of my favorite Disney movies. Such a great heartfelt plot that everyone can relate to. The music is iconic and uplifting as it fits in perfectly with the good plot development. The story follows the kidnapping of a child of the gods and how that child realizes the real truth when he grows up and how he goes to the ends of the Earth to fulfill his destiny and reunite with his birth parents.

I have a lot of nostalgia for this but I it still holds up today. Some great songs and terrific voice acting. Danny Devito as a goat man and James Woods as Hades are perfect.

Classic Disney film that I looked forward to getting back around to. Does it hold up with all the Pixar films of the same era? Probably not. But this is a rock-solid film that serves as the male counterpart to the Disney princess genre.
