I watched it because of Simone Ashley, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! It turned out to be quite entertaining. I really enjoyed it.

Predictable but it's a cute story to just sit back, relax and watch

"Picture This" (2024) is a light romantic comedy that follows Bea, a portrait photographer who feels pressured by her family to get married before her sister’s wedding. Her family gives her a strange condition: she must go on five random dates in order to receive the family inheritance—a valuable necklace.
The story unfolds in a charming, comedic tone with a few entertaining moments, especially the interactions between Bea and her friends. However, the overall plot is predictable and doesn’t offer anything new—it sticks closely to the usual romantic comedy formula.
Simone Ashley fits the role well and delivers a solid performance. Hero Fiennes Tiffin has a likable presence, though he doesn’t add much weight to the film. The acting overall is decent, but no one truly stands out.
The direction and music suit the vibe of the film, but neither stands out as particularly memorable.
The ending is comfortable and predictable—it serves the story but comes without surprises.
My rating: 5/10
A light film you might enjoy watching once if you're into rom-coms, but it won’t leave a lasting impression or be talked about much. Good for a casual night with low expectations.

This is the EXACT SAME MOVIE as 5 Blind Dates (2024) - not just the same premise, the same movie with the same comedy notes among the 5 dates and the wedding-related fortune-teller setting it off.

The pacing was a hot mess, and the dialogue felt unnatural. There are some plus points because of the lovely Simone Ashley being in it, but that's about it. I know rom-coms are cliché and I shouldn't be expecting some pure art, but it was just quite bland.

Wow, why did they show the actress's legs? Poor girl, I felt embarrassed.

I never watch cheap, straight-to-streaming rom-coms but I knew most of the cast and needed a background flick. This somehow doesn't even work as that. It had my attention for at most 15 minutes till it went off the rails, straight into poo. The culture and stereotypes were great. The romance is anything but picture-worthy. There's zero chemistry or comedy between anyone or anything. Long story short, skip it unless you want poor movie-making of course.

Only bad thing I’d say is it’s kinda cheesy and hero and Simone didn’t have the best romantic chemistry. Their kiss scene oof
