Very mixed feelings, but mostly are the good ones. The idea is very refreshing, these types of movies have disappeared from bollywood but here's something great. The freshness and emotions shine in the movie.
The movie follows the documentary - Supermen of Malegaon by Faiza Ahmed Khan and has a great start. It starts going to an average movie in the middle somewhere but Varun Grover pulls it back with his writing for an emotional end.
Director Reema Kagti has done a wonderful work by capturing the rural essence of Malegaon that makes it natural and raw unlike some other movies that feel artificial. The locations, scenery, props, activities all make you feel Malegaon.
The actors, everyone, each cast just felt right especially with their accents. The plot revolves around some friends trying to make a movie do their own and their struggles. A subplot was to make an original movie & it took back and it is noticed.
And yes, it is very much family friendly, one movie in this era that you watch with your traditional Indian family.

If Super Boys of Malegaon doesn’t succeed, I’m not sure what could ever revive Hindi cinema. Lately, Bollywood has lacked what this film delivers—a story that hooks you, genuine emotion, pure fun, and acting that feels real.

Most “based on true events” movies lately feel predictable and overdone, but this one shatters the formula. Instead of just narrating events, it turns real-life struggles and hopes into something unforgettable. The people on screen aren’t just roles—they’re everyday heroes whose stories hit home, even if you’ve never crossed paths with them.
