Going into this film I didn’t know anything about by the looks of the trailer I thought it could be my type of thing and I wasn’t disappointed.

It definitely has the Groundhog Day slash happy death day vibe but more horror based I was definitely surprised how gory it was some brutal scenes and kills the parts where they blow up after drinking the water was bloody fantastic.

The whole plot is really fun to me and unique when the hourglass turns over you have to survive the night until it does otherwise you’ll be stuck there forever and turn into one of the creatures.

Have to say I wasn’t sure about the acting and characters at first but as the film went on I did like all of them a lot and wanted them to survive.

Do you wish we had some more backstory on why it was all happening we had some with the town’s mining disaster but not much with Hill but it doesn’t take much away from the film.

It was quite abit more scary than I imagined it to be not saying it’s like a scary all the way through because it’s not but the parts that are made me “shit myself “😂.

Very happy I decided to watch this definitely recommend it.

Watched Until Dawn with Iva at her apartment. Had a real fun time with it! I was getting Iva with every jump scare. The kills were pretty solid. Ending felt a little shoehorned with the “everything that’s happening is because of what you’re feeling”. The kills were violent and well done which was all I could ask for. Didn’t get bored with the day repeats. Connor 10, normal 9. ⏳

Really well executed. There is a lot to set up here and it is sort of rushed and kind of sloppy, but I respect the runtime because too many movies abuse that these days. The horror is well done as expected with Sandberg and there are some wonderful kills and gore. I think game people will be surprised after bitching about the adaptation based on the trailers. Let Sandberg do whatever he wants!

I'm glad I gave this movie a shot. I knew nothing about it—just a mention that it might be based on a game—and recognized only Peter Stormare. I chose it simply because I was in the mood for a horror film on a dark evening. What a ride! Full of suspense, wild death scenes, and a twisty reboots and re-spawns that keeps things going. The young cast is fantastic.

Let me start by saying that as an adaptation, I get why people hated on it. But according to one of the writers, it’s actually meant to be a sequel to the game, so of course it was always going to be different. Taken as a horror film on its own, though, it’s honestly one of the best I’ve seen in years. My only gripe is the ending;
happy endings are fine, but I wish it had a bigger twist or a stronger final punch.
Here’s the thing, if this movie had a different title, people would probably be calling it one of the best horror films of the decade. It’s underrated, overlooked, and absolutely worth watching for any horror fan.
