>Snoop Dogg: I was trying to call him, but he didn't pick up.
Director: Just now?
Snoop: Cuz I was gonna ask him what he wanted me to lie about.

Clever, creative, trippy. I especially love the beats depicted as bouncing, glowing Lego pieces. Surprisingly introspective and brimming with positivity. I challenge anyone to watch this without a smile on their face.

Very confused by the mechanics of Lego food. Also, why did they play the Conclave trailer before this??

Loved it, I had no idea the influence Pharell and the Neptunes had. It was really nice discovering all of that.

I swear LEGO movies are always better than they have any right to be.

This was a very effective McDonald's ad. Shame McDonald's supports Zionism

The doc itself was fun. The lego animation is gorgeous and Pharrell's accomplishments are incredible. His life story isn't the most interesting though.

Piece by Piece stands out with its novel concept, bringing to life the story of a musician whose perception of reality is uniquely colored by his synesthesia. The choice to depict his world through LEGO characters adds a playful yet meaningful layer, making it accessible for both adults and children. The film cleverly navigates the edgier aspects of the music scene, making it suitable for a PG audience without losing its essence.

The use of a musician with a disorder that allows him to ‘see’ sounds as colors is a fascinating exploration of creativity, perfectly captured through the film’s vivid and dynamic visuals. Pharrell’s influence is evident in the film’s aesthetic and its clever blending of music and visual artistry. Fans of Pharrell and music lovers, in general, will find the film’s exploration of his impact on the music industry captivating.

Piece by Piece is a must-watch for those intrigued by the intersection of music and visual art, especially fans of Pharrell’s work. It’s a vibrant celebration of creativity that appeals to both music aficionados and those looking for an innovative cinematic experience. This film will be popular with people who enjoy musical biopics and creative storytelling, similar to films like Bohemian Rhapsody and The LEGO Movie.

Pharrell is a charismatic man, a revolutionary producer and a titan of the music industry.

What he's not, however, is an interesting person.

This has a really cool premise, and for the most part, they followed through on it.

The main problem here is that because of the song lyrics, this isn't really a kids' movie after all. There are definitely some fantastical things that happen and some slapstick humor here and there; but I don't think it's enough to keep kids entertained, anyway. So the LEGO aspect was mainly for metaphor and nostalgia. Definitely a strange choice; but an interesting one, nonetheless.

I am a music hobbyist, so I may enjoy the film more than other people. The movie leans heavily into the music industry, and it may not be engaging enough to some.

I don't mind Pharrell, not a huge fan but not a hater. At first, this seemed like a great idea till the whole point of a biopic/documentary became unimportant and annoyingly repetitive. Animate it sure, but it's not Batman. I want faces and places, not Legos. It's targeted toward kids obviously, but half the things mentioned I wouldn't care about or even know about as a kid. I wouldn't even recommend it. It felt like the J-Lo movie we got, just nonsense from a guy rich enough to produce a Lego movie.

Absolutely amazing biopic. I had no idea the influence that Pharrell and the Neptunes had not only in music but culture itself. It’s absolutely mind-boggling.
