[Reinvent] Interested in creating a convincing prehistoric setting, it succeeds in doing so by constructing a story of confrontation between the first farmers and hunters, but also of necessary coexistence. The way in which the film dialogues with the present is interesting, so that some of the current concerns can be recognized in a plot that takes place in the Stone Age. Although it has some pacing problems in the second act, it makes good use of the forest environment to create a sometimes almost hellish setting, and to establish its own language that brings a certain authenticity to the characters.
