Who Killed the Electric Car?

In 1996, electric cars began to appear on roads all over California. They were quiet and fast, produced no exhaust, and ran without gasoline... Ten years later, these cars were destroyed.

A very good film chronicling this moment in the history of the modern electric car. It does appear a bit biased in only mentioning the limitations of EVs at the time in passing, but IMO very accurate in their account of all the other factors and events that took place. It's interesting to look back, even in this day and age where it seems like electrics have resurrected and proven their viability, even in part, though skepticism remains amid the many solutions still being proposed for clean energy. More proof that a good idea can't really be "killed".
