When an over zealous scientist pushes his experiments with string theory too far - his brane explodes. That's "brane" not "brain" - but that means someone has to sort out the mess he has created. Our hero Corey Harlan is sent in - kicking and screaming - to find the heart of the brane and its creator Anton Chambers. Now manifested as a normal townhouse hosted by the enigmatic and multi-dimensional Aclima - his adventure begins. A house where opening a door from one room to another can lead you to other worlds not just the kitchen.

Multi dimension, space and time loops, repeating characters, non chronological narration, experimental science. I just love this kind of stuff.

The way it was pitched I was expecting a super brain fuck, but it's absolutely followable and understandable.

If we assume the last flashbacks we see are real, it makes sense:
the experiment goes wrong, probably intentionally, so they retreat into the House that is a kind of pocket dimension, to survive the explosion. However only them 4 survive, the other die and are heard in the Valley of Screams. Somehow the heavy metal injected allowed Harlan to exit
. But is it real, we saw different versions of flashbacks before.

We can assume, as it it said in the beginning, that once you get through it, you (probably unconsciously) retain the important information, allowing each loop to progress slightly differently. But there's not much Harlan actually does though, he is mostly passive. It mostly looks like he's only here to open access for Aclima.

It's very entertaining to go through the steps and plunge into the weirdness, gaining some knowledge of the real events bit by bit.

Probably only a consequence of small budget, but I found all the vehicles scenes, with animations at 20$ stop motion film level, completely endearing. They definitely exaggerated that for fun, specially the helicopter crash. Great touch.

A lot of open questions though. Where does the whole billionaire/military/journalist/scientist scenario comes from ?
I love the facts that replica inside formed factions, but what happened inside to create these ? What are they fighting for ?
How come not all copies react the same ? They're not all part of the faction. Kesler seems to have several very different roles, more like NPCs, while Aclima has several active roles. Including the House operator ones for both of them.
Why does it look like there is only one Chambers when the others are multiple ?
We don't really see other Harlans inside, but there's this whole thing about ensuring he's the real one. So where do the fake come from, and who sends them ? What's their storyline ?
If
killing Chambers
is not the end, what is ? Convince him ?

Not that they need to be answered, just show the depth and possibilities of this world.
