This was way better then the first part. More realistic, more action packed, I actually cared about the characters and it was much better shot.

"28 weeks", The folow up movie to 28 days later. Follows up on survivor Don (robert Carlyle) and his kids.
First of all it always a treat to see Carlyle on screen. The man knows how to bring a Character to life. And in a zombie apocalypse movie that can be harder then it seems. The downside however that because the plotline and outline of the movie his role diminishes. The movie was written and directed by Jaun Carloz Fresnadillo, and of course Danny Boyle (Sunrise).

The story is supposedly set in the London suburbs Area, wher chaos ensues when another Outbreak of the Rage virus starts
Scene's wher also filmed in cardiff (Standing in for london).

The movie itself is a Rollercoaster when the action starts. With great creature effects, nice scenery and setting,
And also manages to capture some claustrophobic effects when cornered by the Living dead.

The music was scored by john murphy and he definetly does a great job at capturing the essence of the movies in his score. As an avid collector of soundtracks i found this score to be treat :-)

One final note however. I heard friends of mine complain about this not being a zombie movie, bevause of the rage Virus
If You look however t the chopper grasfield scene, you can see several decapitated zombies trying to go after the survivors. I know this clashes wit other aspects in this movie. But in my opinion this flick definetly belongs to the zombie realm

One of the few cases where the sequel is as good, if not better than the original. Now I patiently wait to complete the trilogy with 28 Months Later (come on Danny, hurry up).

I avoided this in theaters because I knew Danny Boyle couldn't direct as he was busy with Sunshine, which was only a few months from release. But, *man* I wish I'd have given it the chance it deserved, because what an amazing follow-up to *Days* without Boyle behind the camera.

This was only the third movie I'd seen with Jeremy Renner at the time; first was his unsettling portrayal of Jeffrey Dahmer in *Dahmer,* then it was that shitty S.W.A.T. adaptation of the cheesy 70s show. *This* was the first movie after *Dahmer* that made me realize he was an extremely compelling actor, and *The Hurt Locker* and *The Town* then clinched that realization as a fact for me.

I do think this was a great sequel to 28 days later feels abit of an upgrade in quality and you can tell this had more of a budget than the original but I do think I prefer 28 days later I just like how that film was made.

This had some well know actors Jeremy Renner,Rose Byrne and Idris Elba to name a few they definitely great additions to the film ,Tammy and Andy were decent enough aswell.

Let’s talk about the opening scene a really cool opening with the zombies chasing Don through the field there were so many that scene was very well done.

Did find it interesting that Alice carried the virus but wasn’t fully turned into a zombie did like that twist ,can’t believe Don literally kissed her surely he seen her eye lol and must of knew she was infected him turning and killing her was a brutal scene.

There was some questionable decisions made in this film which I didn’t really get and thought was stupid they put all the Civilians all in a room for safety and didn’t think to check or cover all the doors so basically it was pointless and they made it worse.

Flynn was absolutely a badass with the helicopter slicing the herd of zombies apart was one of the best scenes of the film it was so cool.

The thing I just didn’t get with this film was Don following Andy his son after he turned when you turn you have no emotions so I don’t understand why he keeps just going after him the ending was abit predictable but I still did enjoy this film even with that.

8.5/10

This film seemed to be marginally better than its predecessor. Similar elements, but with a much more modern approach to the cinematography and action sequences that made it overall more enjoyable to watch.

In exchange, we lost out on some of the character depth. But there was still enough character development to make the deaths feel consequential, and the risk, thrilling.

I honestly have no words, a suspenseful adrenaline rush through and through and a very interesting premise and mix up compared to the previous movie. There's honestly so much I could talk about this movie but in my last review I ended up rewatching it in the same sitting and taking awhile to gather all my thoughts and even then I couldn't address everything but gosh I'm just happy I stumbled upon this series while there's only a few months until 28YL. My favorite horror series of all time. My heart broke so many times in this one and the shots and action were just breathtaking.
Rest in peace humanity.

The only thing I have a bit of trouble accepting is how Alice wasn't guarded at all, especially considering the General was against keeping her alive.
