The Vatican Tapes

Much better than I expected. It's pretty original for what it is, and has a great ending.

The acting, directing and general quality of this movie is pretty much top notch. I guess that the only thing I found a bit lacking was the scariness. I mean the movie is creepy and all, and it gets pretty intense at times too, but it definitely could have been scarier.

Anyway, great movie if your into exorcism stuff in horror flicks.

It was better than I've expected after reading IMDB comments. And although we know the subject as it was filmed already many times, the ending is quite good.

A relatively successful horror film with an interesting story that depicts the arrival and birth of the antichrist. Of course, this one definitely doesn't belong to the top horror movies, but even so an interesting spectacle that I wasn't bored after a long time. For those who like various films about exorcism, this film is definitely worth watching. Don't expect any miracles from this film, but for a good average it will be enough.

A little creepy, but not all that scary, The Vatican Tapes is a stereotypical demon possession film. When a young woman becomes possessed a priest gets permission to perform an exorcism, but it’s soon revealed that they’re not dealing with an ordinary demon. Olivia Dudley and Michael Peña lead the cast and give solid performances. And, the possession is fairly well-done, delivering all the standard fare; body twisting, shaking objects, prayers in Latin, etc. But the plot is paper thin with little character developed, and it gets batshit crazy at the end. For those who enjoy supernatural thrillers The Vatican Tapes will do, but there’s nothing original or compelling about it.

Slow and obvious during the entire movie. Exorcism rite does not adhere to the catholic protocol. Ending is fine.

In reality God would kick the devil's dumb red ass.

Movie without ending... like I was watching pilot of the some kind of series. Not so revealing story...
