The newer movie gets the characters right. Even if that too isn’t the best movie you’ll see. This feels like Tom and Jerry in a Don Bluth (An American Tail, The Land Before Time) film. Just not a good Don Bluth film.
Tom and Jerry aren’t meant to sing and dance and be buddy buddy.
