There are no limits to how much you can sacrifice for love, and once you do your life is a portrait of happiness.
I never cry, but this gave me tears
Such a beautiful love story. If you enjoyed The Notebook, you will definitely enjoy The Longest Ride.
Absolutely amazing! Didn't have many hopes for this as I started watching it, I thought it'd be just another chick flick, but, boy was I wrong! Definitely recommend this one!
It feels a bit of the notebook vibe but its a descent effort of a movie. I thorough enjoy it and it was sweet and beautiful. Like the ending.
One of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen in my life and one of my favorites. Everything was perfect, from the characters, to the story, to the ending, it was just amazing. I find that nowadays it is hard to find these kind of beautiful movies that make you cry of joy. I really wish they would start making more of these.
i liked the idea of this movie, love requires sacrifice always and it's true.
she sacrificed to be with him and after they got together a surprising turn that led them to portrait of happiness. this movie really let u in on alot of stuff that some people mistake them.whoever don't watch it he's missing on alot.love the idea that brought and story i just wish i saw it in better situation but heck's worth it and worth the repeat after awhile!
I feel like once you've seen two or three Nicolas Sparks movies, you've basically seen all the ideas he mashes up for the plots for all the others. Sure, this one involves bull riding and some abstract paintings, but all the classic Sparks signs are there: love letters written long hand and narrated to the watchers, a splash in the ocean, old people reminiscing on young love, and characters with little to no characteristics or character development. But after seeing my beloved James Marsden in the terrible The Best of Me, I have to admit that at least the screenplay in this one is a little better. And Scott Eastwood is adorable (and I do love me a cowboy). Still, I have to ask myself why I keep watching movies based on Sparks novels.
As far as romantic comedies go, The Longest Ride is above average. Yes, it still delivers the cliche story in a predictable manner with a lust-less ending and a boring climax, but it maintains enough integrity to be seen without regret.
Based on a Nicholas Sparks novel, The Longest Ride is a touching romantic drama. The story follows an aspiring art major and a professional bull rider who fall in love, and have a chance encounter with an art collector that alters their lives forever. Britt Robertson and Scott Eastwood lead the cast and give especially good performance, having great chemistry together. But the script is a bit of a problem, as the plot is over-stuffed; deliver two love stories for the price of one. And at times it can be a little emotionally manipulative. Yet while it has some issues, The Longest Ride is a compelling film about the power of love to overcome adversity.
