Green Zone

During the U.S.-led occupation of Baghdad in 2003, Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller and his team of Army inspectors are dispatched to find weapons of mass destruction believed to be stockpiled in the Iraqi desert. Rocketing from one booby-trapped and treacherous site to the next, the men search for deadly chemical agents but stumble instead upon an elaborate cover-up that threatens to invert the purpose of their mission.
One word.............UNDERRATED!!!!!!
I saw Green Zone in the cinema when I will in school and kept wondering why this film isn't talked about more, really hope with time this film will start to get the recognition it deserves as it tackles a subject that a lot of modern war films don't as it shows the corruption from both sides of the war in Iraq. This film shows how many lies the army was told to get the job done and shows the harsh reality of war and the casualties it leaves behind.
The stand out performance is Matt Damon (Roy Miller) as so many people like to say "He barely does anything during the film" but that isn't true as he is trying to push forward but it shows how unfortunately soldiers are not allowed to think and act for themselves sometimes and he plays that perfectly, I also have to give credit to Khalid Abdalla (Freddy) who really does show you the casualties of this war with just one character alone.
If you like Modern War films then I recommend Green Zone, this is destined to be a modern war classic in my opinion and with time will get the credit it deserves.
