Trippy sequel
I really underrated this movie when I was a child. Now I think it's pretty dope and even better than the first one!

The previous Halloween is probably my favorite movie of the entire franchise and this one is in the top three. The lore states that Michael is immortal so the fact that he's connected to his dead mother and that's how he found Laurie makes sense in a way, if we accept that Halloween went supernatural way years ago.
And the always screaming and angry Laurie? Well, everyone deals with trauma differently and I'm glad for once we can see a different kind of victim. In her case I would be pissed at the entire world as well.
I just wish Rob Zombie had a chance to make more Halloween movies. But I get that people didn't really get his vision unfortunately. Great movie anyway!
Rob Zombie is better at horror than Wes Craven and John Carpenter combined. That's it. That's the review.
I will die on this hill of bodies.
The first Rob Zombie Halloween movie might be my favorite in the franchise, but this one might be my least favorite.
Well... it had a great poster?
Seriously, what a let down after the first Rob Zombie one.
This sequel is a mess. He barely wears the mask, 80% of the movie Michael looks like a giant Hobo. The Halloween theme is not present (just in the credits). What really annoyed me was the dead mother/young Michael scene's (was this all in his and Laurie's mind?).
I give it a 5/10, it has some good kills and the acting is okay (McDowell as Loomis, sheriff was okay)
Unfortunately, the already mediocre reboot of the franchise does not improve with this second part. On the contrary, it slips back down into the realm of movies difficult to watch because you know that there is more in the character of Michael Meyers than what they made of it here.
It's a bore!
I didn't anticipate much from 2009's 'Halloween II' based on its predecessor and it turns out I was right to have done so. It's nae good! More of Brad Dourif is nice, though to be honest none of the cast members do anything to elevate this film up.
Not that I blame those onscreen, as it's all poorly cobbled together. The early hospital scene, starring Octavia Spencer and Richard Riehle (minorly) interestingly, showed some promise, but this flick quickly descends into a waste of 105 or so minutes; I zoned out a few times.
