The Final Inquiry

_The Inquiry_ is a captivating Italian biblical drama. Searching for answers to recent apocalyptic events, the Roman Emperor Tiberius sends a tribune to Judea to look into the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, believing that the answers lie there. Starring Daniele Liotti, Mónica Cruz, Dolph Lundgren, F. Murray Abraham, and Max von Sydow, the cast is pretty good and gives strong performances; though some of the English dubbing is weak. The script is also well-done, particularly at developing the characters and at creating mystery and intrigue as the investigation unfolds. Additionally, the costumes and sets are quite impressive, and there are several exciting fight scenes and chases. An inspirational film about love and the search for truth, _The Inquiry_ offers a unique look at the Resurrection.
