I like this movie because of Versailles scenes, which are plenty.
It's not really a bad movie, it's a little weak but the story is pretty nice.
"Please do not assume that because I have not lived as broadly as you, that I have not lived as deeply."
A 2010s retelling of the age-old princess quest only released recently due to the complexity of corporate rights, The King's Daughter enjoys an expressive cast delivering awkward script, and a pleasantly predictable plot unfolding in passable settings given the budget and nature of the genre.
A fun, lighthearted choice for a comfort night or spontanteous watch.
(And if nothing else, Pablo Schreiber as the cold, skeptical man of science turned Victorian villain...)
I'm sorry but what even was that?
My, such a godawful production and horrendously distracting costumes! I was barely 16 minutes in when I gave in and I abandoned it
This film was delayed from release for several years. It's easy to see why - it's one almighty mess. Good actors are stuck with a script that makes little sense and the audience is stuck with a film that is a chore to sit through. Dreadful.
What an amazing dumpster fire.
