This is only my second film of Paolo Sorrentino and I can say that I am a fan. After watching the amazing La Grande Bellezza that came out last year I wanted to explore of is filmography. Just by the opening scene, I knew that I was going to love this film.
I think the word that best suits this film is perfect. The thing that I admire more in a film is when it has the ability to enchant you until the very last minute, that happened with me. I can say that this film is a true masterpiece.
Le Conseguenze Dell'Amore cinematography is amazing, shot in a beautiful way, very stylish with an elegant edition. The haunting soundtrack goes perfectly with the mystery that the film wants to provide.
The lead performance is something marvellous! I loved Toni Servillo work in La Grande Bellezza and I loved to see him in this once again. He plays Titta Di Girolamo, a middle aged man, living in an hotel for 10 years, he hides a dark secret that no one dares to question about. And that's all I'm going to say. I don't wanna enter in any more details about the story, you have to see it!
At the beginning of the story you will not understand the title of the film but as soon as the film starts to develop everything starts to make sense.
