It's not terrible, except the ending. The ending is borderline terrible. If it was the ending to season 1, then OK. The ending to a film... yeah no.
Kidman's career won't be saved by such a movie🙅In the middle of Michigan there is a whole town of people who imagine themselves to be Dutch. They are literally there, in caps and shoes, and the wife notices something strange about her husband. While we are being led by the nose with a maniac, everything is even not bad. But there will be no denouement, just an art-house escape from Domostroy
Just really, really "standard". It felt like it should have been better than it actually was from the names and production value.
Being Dutch, the main reason I wanted to see this was the title. Always fun and cringe to see how Americans see us. But then I also liked the Dutch music like the Kermisklanten of all people LOL, oh and the bitterballen.
Storywise not so bad as some are saying. It just lacked something, I don't know what.
Weirdly interesting. Is the definition of surreal psychedelic ride. The actors played their roles beautifully& naturally.Nicole is fantastic
Took forever and a day to get going, and when it did it slightly improved but not by much.
Like so many of the other comments it seems that Kidman is playing the same role in many many different series and movies. I didn't think the acting was that bad but the story was nonetheless predictable. And at the end it just seems like they stopped recording. It's a bit strange and left me feeling rather cold.
Ugh, where do I even start with Holland?
I went in expecting something exciting, but what I got was a snore-fest of epic proportions. The plot was predictable, the pacing was glacial, and the characters were about as interesting as a sedated sloth.
I struggled to stay engaged, but my attention kept wandering due to the sheer boredom of it all. And don't even get me started on the ending - it was a jumbled mess that left me feeling frustrated and unsatisfied.
Overall, Holland was a disappointing and underwhelming experience. Unless you enjoy watching paint dry or grass grow, I'd recommend giving this one a hard pass.
Not thrilling, not tense, not interesting and worst of all fucking boring
What even is Nicole Kidman anymore? She's played the same character in almost all her projects, and each one is more disappointing than the last. Simple, straight-to-streaming garbage, so don't expect much. I can see the director's artistic vision, but it's so random. You have to infer several metaphors about parenting, marriage, and affairs, as well as things I can't mention because it solely relies on them for any mystery. Not much is explained, and plot lines don't survive past five minutes. I wouldn't mind the slow pace if the ending weren't completely underwhelming. Great ideas, awful execution.
