Perfect, perfect, perfect...

A perfectly crafted piece of work, starring a great actor (who I don't happen to usually like - Michael Douglas) in the "lesser" company of an actor I haven't encountered in a movie in a long time (Sean Penn).

Just writing a few lines, showing my appreciation for this film. Very good cast, very good action scenes, the plot is plausible and the script simple but enjoyable. The suspense was strong in this one and it really got me on the edge of my seat. The ending intrigued me for two reasons: one, it was well crafted and very suspenseful: two, there must be very few endings created by Fincher that don't have a dark vibe associated with it, even bordering on comedy.

Random thought: did he go for coffee with her or not?

The Game (1997)
2/2 story
2/2 acting
1/2 pacing
2/2 dialogue
1/1 directing, technical aspect
1/1 living up to its genre

OMG Mind Blowing Story and The End Result wat an amazing Plot.

Michael Douglas & Sean Penn Were awesome

It wasn't bad But at times it was slow pacing

Love The Dialogue it Automatically Drew me in

Definitely Love The Directing

The David Fincher psychological thriller The Game is a brilliant and well-crafted film. The story follows an investment banker who takes part in an elite and elaborate game, but when it turns deadly he starts to suspect that it’s all been a con. The writing is especially good, weaving an intricate plot that constantly keeps the audience guessing as to what the game is. And, Michael Douglas gives an outstanding performance that helps to strength the material. Additionally, Fincher’s directing creates a rich, atmospheric mood that heightens the film’s themes. The Game is a smart and sophisticated thriller that’s a masterpiece of suspense.

I wondered what I was watching throughout the first part of the movie, took a while for the plot to get off but by the end I was blown away.

This was probably the most entertaining movie I've watched in a while, I had no clue what was going on till the end, I didn't watch any trailers or anything and went straight to the movie, and it was very surprising and had me hooked till the end.

Although the ending was a bit stupid, but to keep someone glued to their tv screen for 2 hours, I say job well done, hence why it deserves a 9 imo, not many moves these days can achieve that and you'd get bored very easily halfway through the movie or even earlier.

As a film it is excellent.
However, the ending is something... different.
If the last 10 minutes did not exist, the result would be two completely different films.
The argument is sublime.
