The poster on Letterboxd is fine but the one on Shudder is goddamn awful and it puts my expectations so low. I also just realized this is from the same guy behind Son (I hated that film btw). Anyway, I wanted to watch something Irish, decided to give this a go and I was pleasantly surprised. This is a tightly suspenseful, relentlessly depressing, and consistently creepy psychological horror. The atmosphere just oozes dread from start to finish. It doesn't rely on cheap scares but skillfully allows the sense of foreboding to develop. It of course has some of the tropes but the superb editing and sound design really make this film stand out. Also great performances from the entire cast.
Not bad to be honest. The tension in this is great and was well executed.
I don't know if I liked it or not, but it's a very decent "horror" movie... Since the beginning is interesting, and the tension during the whole movie is very well executed, but the end didn't convince me, that's all.
Decent ghost story, not really scary but very moody and a gross-out ending makes it worth to watch.
Strange, eerie, unusual ghost story, worth watching.
Not badly done, very big build up which makes you feel you got it figured out but will make you start second guessing it. I will say there is one scene that might be the most gross thing you've ever seen.
You've GOT to be kidding me with that ending!?!?!?!?!?!? Well, it was on crackle, so I should have known better!
