As Allen gets older he seems to be more... direct?... in getting to the philosophical or moral question that is at the heart of the film. Once he gets there it was a decent film with an interesting core. follow me at https://IHateBadMovies.com

Slight spoiler? I quite liked the most of it. Some parts of me were against, some for. Great acting by Phoenix and Stone, chemistry and feeling were there, a typically cliched situation was kept from being so for so long. The end, the very end, so quick, felt a little rushed, at the same time, not really but still.

See this article for an explanation of how Woody Allen gets such great actors to star in such crappy movies.

Slow film. Background music is annoying. Good acting though.
Emma one of my favourites ever one extra star for her

What a annoying jazz that plays all the way. We all have to admit that this movie actually sucks.

An existential Woody Allen movie (no surprises there), this isn't bad but is far from his best. It won't add meaning to your life but it is certainly watchable.

Slow film, tedious and often inaccurate in his philosophical treatise. We can save the actors, very good, but it is probably one of the lowest points of Woody Allen, probably without ideas from some time.
