Best movie to think about belief and what is God. FINE FILM CREATING AT ALL.
About 50% comedy, 25% tragedy and 25% the search for god. It may be hurtfull for thoese with deep beliefs. The rest may fall in love with this movie.
Typical for Indian movies, it often drags on. Typical for comedy, it often is a bit too silly.
But pk's approach to the central topic, several dialogues and the emotional finish absolutely justify a recommendation.
I like the ideas it makes you feel. The philosophy of the movie is on point.
this movie had balls. huge ones at that. it satirize religious practices, in india of all places. you could die.
but it is very respectful and clever in its execution. different views are presented but still made sure to be light hearted comedy and respectful in a way. it works
Although the tempo slows down in some places and is excessively cartoonish in some parts, it is one of the most beautiful films about religions that I have watched recently. The music and dance scenes, which are the signature movements of Indian cinema, are kept relatively short and this will not overwhelm the audience from other parts of the world.
It is a movie that makes you sad in some places, laugh in others, and most importantly, will make you forget how time passes. If you have a prejudice against Indian cinema, this movie is a very good opportunity to overcome it.
