The Invisible Boy

I like DC and Marvel and the big budget bombast of the movies associated with their heroes. But unlike this entertaining Italian superhero movie they are rarely grounded in a reality we can relate to. That isnt to say this film is hyperreal - it features a boy who can become invisible for goodness sake - but for teens who experience daily bullying, this is one picture that will resonate with them. It did for me, despite the fact that i am far removed from my school days now. This movie is, in many ways, the ultimate wish fulfilment for anybody who has ever experienced life as an outsider, and ironically, felt as if they were largely invisible.
