A movie to cap off the cancelled HBO show of the same name. Stephen Merchant plays Stuart, a fairly successful but socially awkward Englishman in LA.
If you have seen the show, Hello Ladies The Movie serves to wrap things up nicely with its characteristic self-deprecating tone and sense of humour. Other than that it’s a predictable and unimaginative affair, one for fans only. I wasn’t expecting a masterpiece from Merchant but this film rushes along and leaves you feeling a little cold.
