Simply stunning ..after watching This must be the place and now Youth...Sorrentino is becoming a favourite director of mine. The Great Beauty is next for me and then followed by The Young Pope.

Breathtaking, poetics, beautiful. That was a great movie, a great poetry. I cried, I laughed, I thought... Thank you for that movie.

"Youth" is a visual beauty of a film, that's basically show and don't tell. This is the definition of art, with it's gorgeous cinematography and how the film explores love, humanity, wisdom and pain in it's main story. Michael Caine, Rachel Weisz, Paul Dano and Harvey Keitel all give terrific performances.

The movie dose have some pacing issues, as I felt like some scenes dragged out a little bit, but I'm not sure if that's done on purpose or by mistake since this movie is out of it's mind when it comes to it's style of film making. Some people may think that this movie is too pretentious (some of the reviews I've seen), but I didn't think it was and it didn't bother me that much.

I highly recommend seeing "Youth" if you like movies that are very dreamlike visuals.

Caine and Keitel give their finest performances here. A poignant tale of a composer/conductor and a film director facing the passing of time and an oncoming end to their creativity. Poignant, funny and serious, a delightful film.

Nice film. Noce photos, music. Two olderlu men, music director are in luxurious hotel. The man refuse govong a concert on prince Philip birthday. The only one person, for whom he created music and who only could sing was his late wife, whom he cheated much. His daughter, just left by husband cause she was poor in bed, just heard from her father that had to be good, she is hos daughter and he was quite good. Beautiful film. Worth watching.
Piekny film. Piękne zdjęcia, przepiękna muzyka. Dwóch starszych przyjaciół, dyrygent i reżyser przebywają w luksusowym hotelu. Dyrygent odmawia wystąpienia na urodzinach księcia Filipa

Great visuals, interesting dialogue... the general theme is about getting old or something like that.

Like grande belleza, it did not really move me, but I was still amazed. This one had more plot (at least plot that made sense to me) and tuned a little down on crazy visuals, which I liked.
