The Descent: Part 2

Distraught, confused, and half-wild with fear, Sarah Carter emerges alone from the Appalachian cave system where she encountered unspeakable terrors. Don't think it was unnecessary. It's a **second part** of The Descent, and not _The Descent 2_ . That being said, it's an extension of the first movie. The first one had 2 endings and the good one was chosen to continue the story. In this one you only have a bad ending. I personally don't like bad endings but I enjoyed the ride.

Love the first, outstanding film, but unfortunately this just doesn’t live up to the original; which is true to so many sequels.

Despite its faults, it’s still watchable and great performances from the original characters.

While it's a decent movie, it doesn't really do anything new when you compare it to the first movie.
There was a hint of a bigger sort of conspiracy thing at the end, but it felt tacked on, wasn't really felt at any other point in the movie, and we didn't get a third movie so it was more or less pointless.
It's not the worst movie, but doesn't live up to the original by any means. The biggest problem is that the whole premise is a plot device and the characters also make completely unfounded decisions just to move the plot forward.

Pros: returning characters, cohesive acting, and a greater scenario. I think this sequel had a quite more budget than first one. I don't think creatures had a different behavior in this movie.
Cons: the finale. I can totally forgot the "twist" at the end and would be a good movie. Instead, with the actual one, is just a 2 o 3/10. Sadly bad executed.

It's as nerve pulling as part one. I like it a lot.

Just more of the same, picking right up from where the last one ended. It is just barely competently done, and offers nothing more. Yet this satisfies if you go into it with the desire for more 'Descent' action, and the low expectations that a horror movie sequel provides.

Not good as part 1. But definitely keeps you on hook.

Bloodier than the first, with more light. Link to the first, although if you see the first you know it can't be. Worse than the first. I ignore the last minute of the movie, it doesn't end like this
