Rating a movide should be easy, if it got you at the edge of your seat, it was a Great One !

I really like this. Although when I watched it the second time with the family I did notice some of the jokes that are quite bad.
The shark more than makes up for it. Some fun shark action!

I've watched the Meg a bunch of times (it's part of a group of movies i watch when I've got nothing to watch and need time fillers), and I've re-watched the Office several times too... so how did it take me this long to realize the douchebag investor is Dwight! Oyyy 🏽‍♀

I enjoyed the movie. If you thought it was going to be a period piece, you're wrong. If you thought it was going to be Oscar-bait, you're wrong. If you thought it was going to be a lean/mean action flick with fun set pieces and an entertaining plot line...that's what you get. One of the better movies of the summer, because while it plays serious enough, it knows it is here to put on a show and entertain us. In particular, I think Rainn Wilson does a good job of not going overboard while presenting an over the top type of character. Sit back and smile as the chaos fills the screen.

Much better than expected. Turn the brain off and enjoy!

Terrific fun. An action movie that doesn't take itself at all seriously and knows exactly how ridiculous it is.

It's basically 4 big shark vs Jason Statham action movie sequences stitched together via some standard tropes (marine biologists have their work corrupted by a greedy billionaire).

If you hate (and love complaining about) films like Deep Blue Sea, Lake Placid, Tremors and Deep Rising, then give it a miss and let the rest of us monster-movie fans enjoy this along with our beer and pizza!

If you wanna see a fun and exciting movie, than that's what you'll get with The Meg. Don't expect too much and it's fine.
