**The Good:**
- Solid concept
- Interesting characters
- Keeps your attention

**The Bad:**
- Spoken in English. (Not a huge issue, but I would've preferred Czech language with subtitles)
- Other than the best part there wasn't much that stands out and separates it from other films in the WWII category.

Overall a very nice film. If you like WWII movies definitely check it out!

A historically quite correct movie about the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, Hitler’s right hand in Prague and of the consequences of this act.

Jamie Doran and Cillian Murphy are wonderful in this WW II true story. Telling war stories run a brittle balance between romanticizing heroism and being true to the ultimately tragic decisions made between survival and sacrifice. I was unaware of this bit of history. Good script and cast. I give this an 8 (good) out of 10.

Pretty decent 'viva-la-resistence' movie about 2 Czech/Slovakian heroes which pull off something quite amazing. Some parts were kinda blend, some romantic plots were not really that interesting. Also not a huge fan of accents, just go with English or Czech for all that matters. Although the story and plot are intriguing, it has difficulties with saving the whole 2 hour movie, but the [spoiler] Final Stand in the church [/spoiler] has left me with a feeling this is still a rewarding watch.

Was good but personally prefer this version Operation: Daybreak from 1975

Competent account of a fascinating true story, but it didn't have enough depth to make it truly stand out.

I usually like these kind of movies - portraying historical events. And especially of the WWII era. But I didn´t get much out of this. the contrast between the first and second half of the movie is immense. Which could have been OK but the story developes and progresses too slow and has some rather unimported/unnessesary stuff in it. [spoiler] They should have left the love story out of the movie because it does nothing for the plot or the characters in the conclusion of the movie. Would have instead been more interesting to get more of the background information. The showdown in the church brings some action at the end but did not save the movie in my eyes.[/spoiler] But the look of the film is very good. Sets and costumes look the part.

An ok war movie, a little bit heavy and in long duration but the ending was satisfactory

This film is so utterly depressing that I am fighting to write anything about it. I don't even know if I liked it.

This is a drama about the German occupation of Czechoslovakia at the start of World War II. I am hot and cold with war movies, but am becoming more and more fascinated with the sacrifices people made, especially during the World Wars.

The horrors of WWII are well-documented, but this film is based on a seldom told story of Operation Anthropoid, the WWII mission to assassinate SS General Reinhard Heydrich, Hitler's third in command. It's last 30 minutes are so dour and desperate that I almost turned it off. But I stayed with it out of respect for how well made it is.
